I don't see white ear lobes like a brown leghorn would have.

The white develops with maturity, as the hen gets closer to laying age they start turning white. At least on my lakenvelders this is how it is.

Forgot to mention, they are 8 weeks old hatchery quality. The ears are not white, and they are not red, they are more flesh colored. Comparable to the skin around the eyes. I wish there were other indicators.... if not, I got stuck with 50% leghorns.... which for a rainbow layers bargain, is not so colorful! Lesson learned

I think that it is a little early to tell. So far, they don't have the prominent white earlobes of a Light Brown Leghorn, but those develop later on.

Not long after I posted this, I noticed a white sheen on one of their ears, now they all have it. Leghorn it is! Guess I will be looking for some welsummer eggs this summer if any of my others go broody!
