Any clue? Chicken?

My daughter incubated some eggs that she got from her farm class. The egg was small, white and hatched at 16-17 days, I believe. She is still small and now the others have gotten much bigger and are picking on her. She is extremely attached to my daughter as is my daughter to her. First egg we ever incubated and hatched.

Could she not even be a chicken? Or is she a bantam. I say she, but don’t know for sure.

I think it has a comb so it's a bantam chicken (I think - doesn't look like a quail). Bantams are my favourite! They often don't do well with larger birds, especially if its the only bantam.

Could you upload some more photos from different angles and under natural light?

To big for a Quail. Most probably a bantam.

Looks like an Old English Game Bantam or something similar. They are adorable and tiny and one of my favourite bantams. I can see why she's your daughter's favourite!

Definitely a bantam don't know which type. Some are real small. Not a Quail. Quails don't perch or have a comb.
