No! I was never any good at that but I was impressed by other kids who could do tricks with it.

My hair is the same color it's always been: ash blonde (thanks to Norwegian ancestors) with a bit of strawberry lowlights (thanks to Irish ancestors). More beach sun (thanks to southern California) = more blonde and strawberry.

As I get older it gets more ashy but I kinda like it. I think it's a pretty color and it suits me because I'm getting older, too. It's still soft and wavy and I keep it about mid-back length. I know you're "supposed" to cut your hair past a certain age but I don't care and I don't see much reason to change it.

Don't feel pressured to cut your hair. I love long hair on a woman.

Absolutely! Many women get to a certain age and cut it all off! Some look ok with short hair some do not. Super short hair does not look good on a women IMHO! My wife still has long hair and it looks great on her!

"Blue hair" meant a different thing when I was growing up. Older ladies with white hair got a 'rinse' that had a bluish tint to it.

Then of course there was Mrs. Slocum.

Anyone else love Are You Being Served? They got away with so many double entendres, especially regarding Mrs. Slocum's cat (which I won't repeat here but you get the idea). Mollie Sugden (the actress, may she rest in peace) said she couldn't believe it, either. Different times. I don't know how she delivered her lines with a straight face.

Oh, @BigBlueHen53, I definitely thing you should do a blue or turquoise streak!

There are times I wish my hair were white. It's still mostly brown. To be able to do a color like turquoise or purple (or both; my favorite combination), they'd have to strip out the natural color. I don't want to do that.

I am in the same place. I have promised myself a purple streak when my hair is fully white or grey. But I still have a lot of stubbornly mousy hair left.
I could do purple at the front which is almost all white, but that isn’t quite the effect I am looking for!
