Thank you! I've always been taught to never judge a person, and I know that deaf people have a much more difficult time connecting with hearing people. I attended a play at the deaf school here in CA with a few friends and it really opened my eyes to the deaf community. They are much more close knit and after leaving, I felt like I was the one with the disability! Its been a pretty amazing journey through these past oh, 12 weeks?

I believe the deaf community is a highly misunderstood bunch of people. YES they can drive. YES they can work. YES they can do ANYTHING you or I can do and the ONLY thing they cannot do is hear. Some people call them disabled. HA! Not a chance. Some of the most intelligent people I know are deaf, and in community service for others that are NOT deaf.

Jordan, they are close knit. Because they are typically viewed as being disabled and that cannot be further from the truth.

There is no doubt at all that they are misunderstood. My best friend and I sign when we go to the store most of the time, and never speak at all. You wouldnt believe the looks we get. Its like we're a freak show, so I cant even imagine what it would be like to not be able to speak up and tell people to mind their own business.

Agreed again! Many people thing of different as disable, which is far from the truth.​

LOL, same here! Especially when Im with my friends. I dont want to be a normal person who tries to please others instead of acting like a lunatic.... psh, that sounds boring!
