I know the "Genesis" is apparently the 1588 model, which has a yellow fan among other things, but the incubator that I ordered is 1588R. It also comes with a preset electronic thermostat, however it is far more pricey than the 1588 – around $200.00 instead of anywhere from $120 - $160.

Here is the manual they give for it:

What do you think? What could the difference be? Does anyone know?

    Thanks!

The older model does not have that readout and adjustment thing on top of the incubator. If you go look at them, you'll see that they advertise 1588 with the temp readout on top.

To top that off, I ordered the one with the readout and adjustment on top, and it said that it also reads the humidity. Surehatch.com has them for $ 124.99. They show that it reads temp and humidity, but the box doesn't say anything about reading humidity so I'll have to run it and see.
