Any educated guesses on what breed / gender this chick is?

Closing in on week eight, he / she’s doing great, quite flighty though (a pigeon came down to land next to him / her and she got spooked and flew about 3 meters to me). Also he/she definitely does not appreciate being handled as he/she complains with a certain series of chirps which sound like he/she is saying “oh no nononono” everytime I get close to picking him/her up lol

Looks like a cockerel to me. Pointed feathers usually come in around 12 weeks, though they can come in earlier. However, the absence at this age doesn’t indicate pullet.

Week 9 with a little game of find the clucker butt!

I believe you may have to wait and look for male specific feathering in another month or so. The comb color does seem to indicate cockerel but I'm hesitating with almost no wattle development at 8 weeks. I've had mixed breed pullets more red and with more comb/wattle development at that age.

Sometimes I feel as if I will only really know once Henry / Henrietta either drops an egg or wakes me up in the middle of the night. I'll be sure soon enough :)

Happy weekend my good peeps! Week 10 update of Henry / Henrietta

Week 11 update:
2 months after I placed the order with a local carpenter and the coop is finally built! Although after going over it, lets just say I have my work cut out for me before I’ll be satisfied with it. I’m personally putting my money on my “not so little anymore” chook being a hen.

I could be wrong about my cockerel guess, seeing these pictures. She/he is maturing fast!
