Any experience with: gurgling, not eating or drinking, runny poo

I was able to get him in with a vet today at 11:30. I got him some probiotics and a little antibiotic water this morning. He also ate a little last night.

Be sure to take medications you have given him with you so the vet can see them. I suspect the vet will want to give him an antibiotic shot, and possibly some fluids. If you haven't given meds before, make sure they show you how to give them.

Thank you, I had planned on it! Will post an update this afternoon.

Well, $75 later George has confirmed no cocci, no worms in stool, and a "probably just ate something sour".
His gurgle is largely gone. The vet did give me some free syringes though.

Hmmm... So he's eating and drinking normally now?

Kathy,
Not at all. Not drinking, eating very, very little. I had to come back to work so ill see him again in about an hour.

He looks very sick to me, so I'm not sure why the vet didn't suggest antibiotics, fluids, and tube feeding. Did the vet weigh him?

They tried to weigh him but he didn't cooperate.
He said he doesn't have an elevated temperature at all so didn't want to prescribe antibiotics.
I had mentioned that I would need to give me him food and liquids since he hasn't been consuming them and he agreed and suggested some curved-tip syringe applicators.
Other than that, a bill of health. Oh! And the number to a place nearby that offers autopsies if he dies.

His appetite is back this afternoon and the gurgly sounds are basically no longer. Will keep him separated still.... He's loving the probiotics.
