We recently bought an 82-acre property, which is now my new birding haunt.
It's safe to say this place rivals Magee Marsh!
So far, I've seen:
Yellow-billed Cuckoo
Wood Thrush
Hermit Thrush?
Worm-eating Warbler
Black-and-white Warbler
Hooded Warbler
Prothonotary Warbler
Blue-winged Warbler
Red-eyed Vireo
Warbling Vireo?
White-eyed Vireo
Indigo Bunting
Yellow-breasted Chat
Bewick's Wren
Carolina Wren
Eastern Towhee
Eastern Wood Pewee
Willow Flycatcher?
Eastern Screech Owl
Pileated Woodpecker
Hairy Woodpecker
Downy Woodpecker
Common Yellowthroat
Green Heron
Blue Gray Gnatcatcher
Field Sparrow
Song Sparrow
Brown Thrasher
Cedar Waxwing
American Redstart
Ruby-throated Hummingbird
Tufted Titmouse
Northern Cardinal
Blue Jay
And possibly a few others I'm missing.
A few of those were actually lifers for me.
Pictures soon!
Can't forget, I saw my first Least Bittern and Marsh Wren recently.
