@LittleLakePhil, Good luck with your ice fishing.

If you don't mind my asking, I caught this fish in a small Creek in front of Walmart near where I live. Is this a white fish? I've never seen one before.

I also got the whole fight on video. I was lucky to have the camera rolling.

Yeah it's some type of socket for sure.... Doesn't look like any type we have around here.... We mostly have red horse suckers here

I'll see if I can find a better picture but this is a whitefish.... Smaller mouth... Different fins.... And really silver..... The scales fall off easily too

Yes, it is a whitefish. I was mistaken.

I actually beleive it may be some form of whitefish or herring.... Did it have a fin here.
If yes then it's a whitefish.... They are related to the salmon and have that fin by the tail on their back....

Yeah I took a screen shot and sent it to a friend who knows his fish he wasn't sure... But I think it has an adorable adipose fin as well. The mouth is kinda big but I'm used to fishing Lake Superior whitefish..... There's a lot of different species....
