Just down the road from you in Dunnellon, the part which is in Citrus County. There are several BYC members in the area.

January 18th, Sarasota city commissioners voted unanimously in support of a new ordinance allowing residents to have up to four hens. No roosters allowed.

Palm Beach County, That would be nice if they did that here. That is nice to hear about allowing chickens.

Palm Beach County States:

Sec. 14-1. - Keeping of livestock and poultry in city prohibited; penalty. (a) It shall be unlawful for any person to keep, maintain or pasture horses, cattle, mules, goats, sheep, swine, poultry or other livestock within the municipal limits of the city. (b) Any person violating any of the provisions of this section shall, upon conviction, be subject to pay a fine not exceeding $500.00 or imprisonment for a period not exceeding 60 days. (Code 1979, § 6-2)
