I'm in Land O Lakes. I don't have any chickens yet. I'm about to start building my coop and I'm still getting info on raising chickens. I'll take any advice you want to pass on.

Hi,

Make your coops totally predator proof from the start and save yourself some pain.

YEP, Predator proof them with buried chicken wire around the edges, and a roof over with at minimum bird netting or at best chainlink. Possums and raccoons will climb and drop in. Eagles/raptors and owls will fly in to get your birds.
