Loved WoW until they did they quick level up nonsense. So many noobs that had no idea how to play their characters. When my guild dissolved raiding wasn't fun anymoreView attachment 3382343
We cobble things together with mine. My husband sits at his desk just a few feet away.

Yes, we have big towers. Makes working on innards easier. He's got a dedicated server tower next to his primary machine under there. Mostly ASUS parts, republic of gamers line. We met in vanilla WoW, he moved here and we have been married 15 years and have 3 kids. I'm boring these days, mostly League of Legends because I can pop in for a game and not have to farm forever. Had played many Japanese rpg on Playstation, Playstation 2, had an old NES growing up. I still have a collection of rarer games, like Xenogears, Vagrant Story, a couple of Shin Megami Tensei games, Star Ocean 2 and 3, Dragon Quest 1, 7, 8, was nerd enough to go to a con dressed as adult Esmeralda from Xenogears long ago, it's a special variant unlockable form. Played moonkin in WoW, hence the avatar. Sometimes I'll play Path of Exiles. My biggest nerd moments would be clearing Legend of Zelda start to finish in 12 hours without dying as a kid, and getting invited to visit riot games in Los Angeles for being a beta tester that was still around and not a jerk ( apparently that's a hard concept, I guess? I've never been reported for toxic behavior in League)for their 10th anniversary celebration.
I was on Burning Blade. My guild was Bangarang. Loved those guys. I stopped playing after lich king. I remember when it came out me and my ex stayed up for 3 straight days playing until our ceiling was leaking (we thought we were hallucinating but it turns out the woman upstairs left the tub running). When we finished a raid we always destroyed the pub chat in the main hub shouting BANGARANGwe stopped for a little while after the birth of our second child during wrath of the lich king, restarted halfway through cataclysm, then stopped pretty much permanently during warlords of draenor (what a silly time travelling expac, so wierd) popped back in briefly during shadowlands, did NOT like. My husband and I may always be in the same guild, but he is and always has been a very good min/max player, so is highly sought after. Me? I play for fun and am not interested in a second unpaid job. I end up doing a lot of PvP. The language among online gamers has changed dramatically since we started! No more L33T speak, people get really touchy in trade chat, everyone gets worried about offending all the time, so weird from the old wild west days where if you got offended you turned off trade chat. Played on Ner'Zul.
I was in YABO on Ner'Zul. it was a bunch of rowdy CS Go players that got together to form a guild right at the beginning. It was my husband's and his counterstrike group guild.I was on Burning Blade.
