Any Gamers Here?

Dwarf Fortress! I love roguelikes.
I really really like roguelikes even though I'm not very good at them, Dwarf Fortress especially so. I also really like 4x strategy games like Stellaris and Crusader Kings 3, though I'm also not very good at those 😆 I still try though to get better when I'm in the mood to play them!

I just picked up Jurassic World Evolution 3. So far, it seems superior to 1 and 2 in every way. Better graphics. Better dino AI. Better park management options. Better campaign that’s more similar to the first game’s campaign where you can manage multiple parks worldwide at once and share upgrades across parks. Its overall a better sequel to the original than 2 was.

I also joined PS’s premium service that allows for a lot of game streaming and free downloads. Playing Spiderman for the first time (the PS5 remastered version). Also playing Ghost of Tsushima for the first time.

I’m not playing the Switch 2 much unless its with my daughter. Its been a good investment for her. She likes the 2 better than the original Switch Light. Not much value for me. At some point I’ll dive deep into TofK. For now, JWE3 is more appealing.

I also dusted off Maneater last night. I forgot that I haven’t beat it. It lacks a dedicated PS5 Pro patch, but it still runs better on the Pro. Here’s the comparison in gfx with ray tracing turned on and off.

The game seems to run at 60fps off and 30fps on. The 30fps is still smooth enough to play and I think it looks right with the animal movement. I’ve found on the Pro a lot of games look better with RT on even if they’re locked at lower frame rates. I suspect Maneater could run at a higher frame rate with full ray tracing if they would enable a 120hz mode with VRR. That seems to be the trick to get smooth visuals with gfx jacked up.
