bought some hatching eggs - hatched these RIRs... any gender guesses? Will be 4 weeks this Friday. Sorry for the picture quality - these ones are skiddish (haven’t handled them as frequently as previous hatched).

Is it just me, or do your babies not really look like RIRs? I could very well be wrong, but the "eyeliner" doesn't seem characteristic of the breed. Either way, CUTE!!! :)
Agree with oldhenlikesdogs, another couple weeks should reveal their gender. :) Could you update us later on? :D

Most likely mixed breed, which will be a lovely addition to your flock. early yet to tell. Stance of back chick in pic #2 looks rooish!!
X2 on all points. What color(s) were the eggs you hatched?

Too young.
Please post pictures of their combs when they are six weeks old.
Also, they aren't RIRs. Maybe Welsummers.

Damnit, lol - oh well. I don't care, honestly. I don't like them being advertised as something else but I will love the chickens none the less. I just love taking care of my chickens and collecting eggs... very therapeutic.
