Any good stories interacting with "non"-chicken people?

I'm hoping this is just a typo, but geez 10-18 eggs from 9 hens???? If it's true I would ask a whole lot more for those hens

I was showing my 57 yr. old neighbor, who is a nurse, my new chick and duckling I had in a brooder together. She said (and I'm not kidding) "Which one is the duck?" I said "The one that looks like a duck"

Gave a couple dozen eggs to my boss. Next day he came to me laughing. His wife will only eat "store bought" eggs because you never know where those brown ones come from.

My wife had a friend stay for the weekend. This girl went to the store & bought real chicken eggs to have for breakfast

...I felt insulted. The 50 fresh eggs I get a day from my birds apparently are not real chicken eggs. She made faces as I showed her the difference when they hit the pan, & still She insisted on eating the store eggs. Needless to say her friend ate real eggs & didn't even know it, Cuz I boiled & fed her store bought eggs to my ducks. Some people are just as dumb as a box of rocks.

that is just crazy, you must have had a fun time with that visit. I would be so peeved I would have told her after she was done swallowing her lastr bite

Okay, got a new one this week.

Family acquaintance is trying to lose a lot of weight, met up with a seller of "organic" foods to "help" her family eat right. Asked my wife at our DD's ballgame, is your backyard chicken always tough? She paid $8/pound for "organic free range chicken" that was very tough (I know she's a decent cook, so I'm assuming it wasn't the prep work).

My wife was explaining how something was definitely wrong with the situation and so on, and now I think I may have gained a 3rd family interested in my meatie flocks. This was supposed to be a labor of love for my family, I think the wife is turning it into a business!
