any guesses as to breed?

We get our hens from a local free-range, organic egg farm that gives them away once they are past their prime laying age. I have always been mystified about their breed. Someone told me that he thought they were part RIR, so I just called them RIR mixes.I was also told they might be a commercial mix. Then, I saw pics of production reds and red sex-links on BYC, which both look very much like our girls. What they look most like are new hampshires. One of them is actually black, though, and looks like an australorp. Here are some pics...

I would say Rhode Island red or a production red

I lean more to Production Red because Rhode Island Reds dont have that lighter color to them

I was thinking maybe they were sex-links and the black one was a black sex-link that had been at the farm by mistake.

Looks a lot like our Red Sex links/Red Stars.
Ours have more white feathers near tail section though so yours might be Production Reds?
