Here are pics of my 4 EE's that I got from the feed store... Straight run of course, but figured I'd take my chances

That's funny..."He" likes to be held, fell asleep on my lap yesterday! If the tail set says anything, I might have some girls then

I was worried it'd be too soon, but figured I'd ask any way - Thanks much!!

Sorry... I'm a little slow... tail set?? I'm interested in this, can you explain?

Well that is a carry over from dog showing. I am not sure if that is what is it called in chickens. It is the way the chicken holds it's tail up. I had 2 EE pullets, or so I thought. I started noticing that one was holding it's tail different, higher. then the comb started. Now he crows!!!!

If I was to guess, I'd say at least 2 pullets maybe 4. #2 & #4 are the ones I think look the most like pullets, although none of them like like roos to me at this time.

Wait a couple weeks till they are feathered out and then we should be able to give you a better idea.

One of my EE pullets had a tail that stuck up and the other pullet had a tail that was straight out, so I wouldn't be concerned about the tail right now. It looks like she might be holding it up just to balance herself.

My guess is that #1 is a roo - but it is too early yet to say 100% for sure.

I have some EEs with really straight up tails that are pullets, so I cannot weigh in for sure on if the last one is roo or not. Time will let you know though!
