Any help appreciated - pullet’s leg or mareks

My pullet (pretty sure she’s a Cochin) has trouble putting a leg down.
I did take her to the vet, but they’re urban vets not accustomed to seeing chickens. I thought it was mareks, and will know tomorrow. But now I’m thinking it’s a leg injury. I don’t know how to attempt to diagnose or treat that.
Anyone see their bird walk like in the video?

Thanks
Theresa

I will say it does look like a leg injury, probably in upper leg. I would suggest confining her to a small kennel so she don't have to walk far for food and water. If it is a leg injury, especially upper leg, it will have to heal on its own. Good luck and just keep a close eye on her. Keep us updated, please!

It looks like an injury to me as well. Try a chicken sling so that she doesn't have to put any weight on it. Also, providing additional vitamins and minerals can help injuries heal faster. Get a supplement intended for poultry, or get a low-iron baby vitamin supplement.

And, of course, I never miss a chance to recommend the site, 'poultry podiatry.'

Thanks so much for the advice. She's in a medium size dog crate now inside and I did add supplements to her water. I'll make a chicken sling this evening. She has been taking
Rooster Booster Vitamins and Electrolytes with Lactobacillus since I noticed her limp. I also just received Rooster Booster Poultry Cell. Maybe I'll alternate the two as to not overdo anything. I hope she heals up! My daughter's very favorite.
