Hi all, I hope someone can help me figure out what is wrong with a couple of my chickens. Here are their symptoms: it started out when i noticed them just standing with their feathers fluffed, tail down, and head tucked under their wing more than usual, within a day, their wings were slightly hanging down and they were walking odd, like their legs were weak maybe? with a bit of a stumble almost. When they ate, it was halfhearted. I made them some warm oatmeal with a bit of molasses(thinned a bit with pedialyte to go down easier)hoping a favorite would tempt them more and they perked up a bit and tried to eat but seemed to have trouble getting it down. Now, this morning when I went to open their door to let them out into their yard they almost got trampled. They got knocked down by the others and just lay there. I had to move them out of the way. After the others cleared out, the 2 that are sick tried to go out but couldn't jump the 4 inches to the door opening. They've just been sitting fluffed up all day. I tried to make them eat and drink throughout the day, but I'm not sure how much they actually got down. One managed to jump up to the roosting spot on her own but the other was just sitting in the straw on the floor. They don't have diarrhea, there's no blood in their stool and thst actually looks normal except for seeming a bit dry, if that makes sense. They're about 6 months old. My husband says to put them down, but I just can't do that if there's a chance I can do something to bring them around. If anyone has heard or experienced this with theirs and has any suggestions I'd be so grateful for the help! Thanks!
