We are bringing our chicks in a box to show some younger children. There will be no holding, but just wanted to see if anyone has any thoughts on hazards to avoid with this.

I took a dozen to preschool last year. We plopped a kleenex in each kid's hand, showed them how to hold the birds, and let them each hold one for a while. Then we passed the hand sanitizer around and said goodbye to the chickies. I explained what kind each was, and what color egg it laid. The EE was a hit...

If you have eggs to show, that's always fun. they can imagine how tiny the bird has to be to fit in the egg.

I'm planning on going back this year when we get back from spring break. I have rockstars now, and I must show them off.
