Any Home Bakers Here?

so this emile henry ceramic how does that differ from the cast iron with porcelain over it I have made by Lodge?
I have not used one of these but they would be similar to using clay. The difference is that they are glazed and fired so are not porous. My guess is that they will work like porcelain but will be lighter and more fragile
 
I made the first batch of Christmas cookies here. :D

Food Network inspired, I came up with a neat cookie with what I had.

For thanksgiving, we always just buy jellied cranberries, including this year. I got some cranberries the other day to make some cranberry bread...

The cookies were your basic sugar cookie recipe...check!

Homemade Cranberry Sauce...check!

Cream cheese frosting with brown sugar instead of powdered sugar...check!

Mini chocolate chips...check!


I put a sugar cookie down and piped a border of green cream cheese frosting, then I filled it in with cranberry saice, next I sandwiched another cookie on top, and put for frosting on, as well as some mini chocolate chips for pine cones!

okay need to decide here please I have no fowl cookie cutters no craft skill

But anyone can do a Gingerbread kit or even make a coop from graham crackers...
Or just decorate a round cookie to look like a chick or even an egg?

Come on folks, give it a try...nothing to lose, but the prizes are quite nice :jumpy
