Any Home Bakers Here?

I’m having a hard time with my rhubarb. I’ve never had to weed it or de-grass it more than a little. I’ll skip the nonsense, and just say that it’s looking promising. After the abuse it’s endured, I am relieved. I am not grasping the “how to’s” of gardening most fruits.

I baked the strawberry rhubarb cobbler again today. I did not use the topping recipe but instead used the topping off of a peach cobbler from 1960

Topping

1 cup flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup soft butter

Mix all ingredients together and beat until smooth.
Spoon over the fruit mixture.
Sprinkle with a mixture of 2 tbsp sugar and 1/4 tsp cinnamon (optional
add 1/4 tsp nutmeg).
Bake at 375°F for 40 to 45 minutes.

Turned our great!

It is a very good cobbler topping for sure.

Costco has very good ribs too!

We made short work of the one set 23.75 with 2 racks of like 20 ribs in each meaty pork ribs so the other is in freezer a second meal
It is nice to have a second meal out of something that tasty!

My rhubarb defies the info I find. It’s older than I am. I don’t understand how/when to cut it for replanting when it gets crowded or tired. The plants are supposed to live ten years. This stuff didn’t waver until I hired a landscaper. One company after another (they wanted jobs closer to civilization) mowed it down and finally introduced morning glories. Last year it was scrawny. This year it’s thick. :yesss:
I can’t successfully grow strawberries, lost my mint (landscapers), knocked down the young peach tree (the grass was tall, and I was fixing my hair while driving the mower with my knees), still waiting for the apples, plums... landscaper.
I need someone to come fix me and my property. :th
