I've got black berries in the freezer that need to be used up - I have been thinking of making pie for 2 weeks now, lol. Maybe tonight I'll get it done. I did get the kitchen cleaned up this weekend, so I have counterspace to work on.
I think I am going to make Venison Stew and fresh bread for supper.
I do the same thing with blackberries to use over pancakes, but I use a little maple syrup instead of the sugar and water.
DH doesn't like blackberry "sauce" because there are too many seeds... He is very picky.
One Pot Chocolate Cake Made in one bowl
10 ozs semi sweet chocolate chips...
melt 30 sec in microwave...stir additional
30 sec stir....do this until chips are all melted
Let Cool...
Separate 4 eggs beat egg whites to soft peaks
stir beaten whites slowly into cooled chocolate...
1/3 at a time. Keep adding beaten egg whites.
Add the egg yolks one at a time and stir...gently
You are doing this with NO Mixer...just a spoon or spatula
When completely mixed place in a 8 or 9 inch greased
baking pan....lined on bottom with parchment paper.
Place batter in pan bake 325 degree oven 30 minutes.
Cool...sprinkle with confectionery sugar or your favorite frosting.
You can make two...and assemble a two layer frosted cake.
Note: this is only 2 ingredients and one bowl.
