Any Home Bakers Here?

No, but I probably will soon. I’ve only had pecan pie once before. I admit it’s not my favorite, but I still want to make it. :D

If you make it BC, let us know how it turns out! I've always wondered how pies (or cakes) are taken out of a crock pot without them falling apart.

The woman said you have to let it cool to get it out in one piece. If you want it warm, you have to microwave it.

IMO, patchment paper or foil will work.
Yes, parchment will work in a lot of the recipes that call for aluminum. Parchment was not available back when many of the recipes were written

I have been buying the two packs at Costco heck of a price
Me too! They did not have them here during the summer--I guess there is a baking season LOL!

Hello,

Well, now I can say that I successfully grew a citrus in Idaho.

This is a key lime. I have a potted lime tree and a potted lemon tree that I am growing. This is my first lime.

I'm going to share with you all my brother's lemonade recipe. It is really good. With lemonade or limeade, we follow this ratio.

4:1:1

For every 4 parts of water, you have one part of lemon juice or lime juice and one part of sugar. We follow this ratio all the time, and the lemonade and limeade turns out perfect.

This lime gave me one teaspoon of juice. I got four teaspoons of water, 1 teaspoon of lime juice, and one teaspoon of sugar. Best limeade ever.

Jared
