Any Home Bakers Here?

I buy mine at Walmart or Joann’s fabric. The nice thing about gels is it doesn’t change the consistency of your frosting.

Walmart is the only place around here that sells the gels. Since they're so limited on colors, I've ordered them online before. Just like I have to order so many other things online. Shopping around here stinks!

Stores want you to shop online (and then charge extra for the product, plus shipping), and then complain that no one shops brick and mortar anymore.
Sears went belly up, and wondered why. For many years now I’ve asked in the store where something was located. “Oh, we only sell that online!” Plus their products were junk. Even Craftsman is not what it used to be. Isn’t Kenmore theirs too?

After my dad retired from his regular job, he worked part-time for Sears in CO (the tool department). He loved it for a while, good employees to work with, commission on sales, etc. Over the years it changed, management wasn't interested in keeping experienced sales personnel, commissions were stopped, etc. This was back in the late early '90's, they became more interested in making higher wages and big bonuses for the corporate guys. That's when things started going downhill for Sears, way back then. It was all about more profit, no one cared about the quality of the goods they were selling, keeping good employees, employee satisfaction/morale. I'm just surprised it's taken this long for it to all fall apart.

Someone GAVE me her OLD NON BLOOMING...healthy leaves,
Orchid cactus. She said she was throwing them out....gave up on
them and thought she would offer them to me.

Ok I googled How to Grow Orchid cactus and get them to bloom.
No great info. Even tried U Tube. EEK Asia voice with NO info
worth listening. I am still working on it. Found one good fact:
Orchid Cactus do not like nitrogen fertilizer. Found banana peel
in water ...let sit 3 days...use the water to fertilize. No nitrogen.
....that is step one. Any suggestions....? Aria

Sorry Aria, no suggestions from me. You have more experience making things bloom than I do. If anyone can make it bloom, you can!

I bet it does. Closest Walmart to me is 36 miles. Joann’s is 60 miles.
