Any Home Bakers Here?

Not with me.....now that I am retired...I have MORE TIME to bake and cook. Package mailed Tuesday and arrived Thursday....That is great
time (I used Postal Mailing Box) Aria
I expect to be the same way!

I spend a lot of time baking and cooking on weekends. Week nights I make faster dinners with the instant pot but still cook most nights for dinner

Yes, hard times for sure. Grandpa had a farm that he raised beef and pork at. Dad would go with and help butcher animals to take to the shop in town.

Dad always said he would spit on his piece of pie before supper, just to make sure he got a piece. He still expects big hearty suppers with dessert for supper every night.
For me, the big hard times hit when Dad came down with multiple Sclerosis. We had to live on his small retirement income. Mom went back to work as an aid but was paid only 9 months each year. Summers were very hard!

Since we owned property, we were not eligible for welfare either. I figured out what dirt poor meant then-- If you owned some dirt, you could not get assistance
