I made lemon cupcakes filled with lemon curd and the frosting was cream cheese, lemon curd and whipping cream plus sugar and vanilla. I brought them for a co-workers birthday today.

We used to be able to get lemon filled pastry here. I do not get them very often though since I bake nearly all of the goodies at home. More than 90% of our food if made at home tooDonut shops and bakery shops DO NOT make lemon filled pastry. I just can't understand why. They are so Goooooooood.
Granted it's been a few years since I bought them, but Krispy Kream at least used to have lemon filled doughnuts. I used to get them all the timeDonut shops and bakery shops DO NOT make lemon filled pastry. I just can't understand why. They are so Goooooooood.
Maybe add 1\4 cup of melted butter?Has anyone tried making the biscuits where you take yogurt and self rising flour in equal amounts, mix and bake? I'm thinking about trying that with my yogurt I'm making. It is supposed to be full fat yogurt and so far mine is 2% so I may need to get some heavy cream to rev up a batch to around "full fat" levels if I try that.

I'll keep looking and see what all I can find. I may try both, try Ron's suggestion of adding butter to up the fat, and Penny's suggestion of using Bisquick, I have some of that at home and wouldn't need to buy any.Hmmm maybe bisquick with yogurt or sour cream and half and half
