Any Home Bakers Here?

My family was planning on eating supper at my grandma's house tonight and I was making this for a dessert. I didn't start making this until 2:30. At 2:47, I had just finished dicing the first apple when my dad came into tge house and announced we were leaving at 3:30. I rushed like I was on a Gordan Ramsey Show and got it into the oven at around 3:19. I put it in the oven for 19 minutes, thinking I was doomed but then, THEN, my other grandpa walked into the house. My life was saved. Like the Midwesterners we are, he is staying awhile and I currently have 18 minutes left. Wish me luck!

Welcome to thread so glad you liked it ...

Did an experiment and bought some sea salt. I used it in my egg drop soup recipe.

It turned out pretty flavorful! More than usual!

I think salt type makes a difference.
I've read somewhere that the shape of the crystals changes the flavor. I use mostly kosher salt here. But I do have a collection of finishing salts on the shelf. They are fun to play around with.

Update: The Apple Fritter Bread was a hit! Everyone loved it! Definitely making this again, next time I hope it will be better since I won't be in a time crunch like I was today. :celebrate

Hi Lydia, would you mind sharing the recipe for the Apple Fritter Bread? It sounds delicious.

While the bread is cools, prepare the glaze. In a small bowl, combine the powdered sugar with the remaining 1 tablespoon of milk. Mix until smooth, and then drizzle over the cooled bread.
