Any Home Bakers Here?

I was able to make my Pot of Soup ...put in glass jars in refrigerator.
And now I am cooking GREENS...to add to my soup or have as a side
veggie. It is not easy getting back to cooking. But i am trying a little
at a time. I have cooked food in freezer to just warm left by my son and his wife. Baking???? I think in the future. NOT able to stand too
long. and my ankle swells when I do...so NO...go sit for a while. Aria
That's our Aria :) really happy you managed all that, now you are healing.

There's time to do then time to rest, just like Debbie said a little by little. 💞

:old I've been wracking my tired old brain on which sugar to use for my friends Easter homemade chocolate. I was thinking the bakers sugar, then read that they add cornflour to it. I like the Cain sugar better but I don't want it gritty :hmm icing sugar won't do either.

So I'm hoping I can find a trick to somehow melt it without it burning. Just thinking out loud 🤔 hmmm

@Aria Maybe you could try a no knead recipe if you really get the baking bug. The ones I’ve tried didn’t taste quite as good as regular but were still quite good almost a sour dough flavor which I’m not fond of but a lot of other people on here are. It took barely any time to mix even by hand and then I set it to rise overnight and just had to throw it in the Dutch oven in the morning. Not labor intensive at all very easy to do.

I've left bread well covered on my table over night, it turned out really good.

Okay I must admit it, I forgot to put it in the fridge. It tasted great.
