Me too. Couldn't pass up a ham at Albertson's for 97¢ a lb.No baking for me today. I had to grocery shop, that was enough of a work out for one day!
My "problem" with GF bread hasn't been the taste but the texture. It tends to be kind of dry, dense and crumbly. The dough was slightly off, and the loaf has that "stepped on" look of so many GF breads. It tastes ok, though.
I missed ...GF? What bread? I will stay away from that one??? AriaMy "problem" with GF bread hasn't been the taste but the texture. It tends to be kind of dry, dense and crumbly.
Gotta bake this weekend, we are down to 1 English muffin and 4 slices of bread. I'm going to make Champlain rolls for Easter.
Thanks. No Clue there. AriaGF is Gluten Free.
She is trying to find a good recipe for a gluten free bread.
baking a crushed pineapple angel food cake and a cheesecake for Easter. Today baking cornbread in cast iron skillet to go with beef stew in Dutch oven---both pans from my grandmother(and I am 64)
I always hated when things were not all done ...before the day. Doing when they are asleep...makes me upset. Perhaps skip the cake? Enjoy the day? I am not feeling like doing a thing.I was supposed to make the caramel cake today but it doesn’t look like I’ll have time. I may get up early tomorrow and make it before everyone gets up. I’m usually the only one up before 9 on holidays.
