Any Home Bakers Here?

I've been waging War On Dirt for the last few days. I have a friend coming over Thursday who's never been out here (cuz we are waaaay out here). The threat of company seeing my mess makes me realize how much needs to be done.

Friday is supposed to be quite chilly. Might need to have a fire in the wood stove. So if it's that cold, I'm going to bake some Grownies. And DH needs another loaf of bread.

As the summer begins, I am thinking more frequently of making an ice cream cake. I got a wicked sunburn today at the pool (swam the sunscreen off, got engrossed in a really good book, became a lobstah) and I really am craving some ice cream cake right now.

I made a cranberry pecan sourdough as well as a roasted garlic and white cheddar - both were delicious and will become part of my regular baking routine I think

Thanks - I used The Clever Carrot all purpose flour recipe as a base and I just get creative from there.

The problem with reading this thread just before bedtime is all the goodies people talk about and have pictures of. Ice cream cake... It's a good thing that I'm still really full from dinner.

Well, I don't even have any ice cream cake either, so I'm safe from that temptation!

Or make a chocolate chip cookie in a pie pan, and fill it with ice cream. Or maybe an Oreo pie shell!
