it sounds like your so close, and if all is good then I don't see why you couldn't, ask for a baby stress test, all they do is hook you up to a fetal monitor and monitor the baby for a little to make sure it isn't stressed, my son was so big and I was one week over 40 and they were going to do a stress test if I didn't have him, the placenta can not function as well if you go over 41 weeks is my understanding. but my big boy came before they hooked me up He was 9.5 and a little porker

Glad it worked out…it should be very hard when dried, but once dried still handle carefully not to fracture the joinings.

Can't wait to see your entry

The build up is likely to be better than the end result,

If you're not tired of Gingerbread yet, I baked a GB cake today and it turned out quite tasty.

Gingerbread

  • 1 cup melted shortening
  • 1 cup molasses
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons ginger
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/3 cups boiling water
  • 2 well-beaten eggs.

_________________________________

  1. Mix melted shortening, molasses, and brown sugar.
  2. Add all dry ingredients, sifted together, and mix well.
  3. Gradually add boiling water, stirring constantly.
  4. Fold in beaten eggs.
  5. Pour into a greased 13 x 9 1/2 x 2 inch pan.
  6. Bake at 375 for 40-45 minutes.

** I used a 10 x 10 x 2 inch corning ware dish and baked 42 minutes at 350.

It is soft, moist, delicious.  But a real challenge to mix by hand.

Oh good, I will have to try this come spring. I have a big ginger boy cake pan. I was going to make it with the girls, then have the boy "escape" leaving flour footprints :D
