Lots of Tablet (I keep picking at it 🙄)

I used this recipe this time, it didnt take 20mins for the second boil for me more like 10, boil and stir until the colour changes and the mixture sets on the side of the pan.
Take it on and off the heat as it boils.

And some bread that I didnt think had turned out, so I cut it in half before it cooled to see... Its a new recipe to me, it collapsed as I put it in the oven and went flat. Maybe it will be ok for dinner.

It all looks good @Floydie!

For a years bread, try this one:
I'm guessing you meant "yeast" since that recipe wouldn't make enough bread for a year ;)

Only Problem I have use certain keys T, N, A and O are worn off after I use them for a year or two.. :frow
I had that problem until the battery in my MacBook had to be replaced a couple of months ago. Apple, in their infinite wisdom, have the keyboard and battery as a single unit. PRESUMABLY so the computer can be thin (the guy at the store said). So I got all new keys with my battery.

Yes it WAS expensive!

We do not get rain in the late spring to early Fall here.
Had the weekly Zoom meeting with the So. Cal family on Sunday. Mentioned that we had rain, they said "what is that"? Of course that is what we say when they mention sun during certain parts of the year.

I used this recipe this time
And apparently modified it since I don't see the chocolate coating in the recipe. Looks like you have homemade Mounds bars :D
:drool

It is sad that there are strict water restrictions!
That is what happens when there are more people using water than comes out of the sky. Not a foreign concept in a lot of California and apparently Colorado. Probably plenty of other semi desert states/areas as well.

but a certain someone thinks adding strawberries to rhubarb is sacrilege.
And that person is RIGHT!!!!!!

Rhubarb is one of those food things you love or hate. :)
Yep, like cilantro.

 or have never tried...
It isn't too late to try :D

stay out of it because it was poisonous, then here's some Rhubarb pie.
They should have been more specific. The LEAVES contain oxalic acid, the stalks do not.
Go in the rhubarb patch but DON'T eat the leaves :D

my mother would put it in saucepan with some water and sugar and "stew" it for my father. he'd eat it like applesauce
Yep that is how my grandmother made it, I do the same. Some people put salt on the raw stalk and eat it. I tried it. :sick

Maybe it will be ok for dinner.
Looks just fine!

Looks just fine!

I had to google Mounds bars, we have bounty bars.
The chocolate is home made too.

You are a dirty liar on the tablet. It does NOT taste like that, you are causing trouble. I DEMAND that you send some to me right away so I can see first hand... what you did there !! and offer suggestions :D :D which of course you will need to continue sending to me until I know you got it right. ~!

Aaron

I've made enough to send you some, i'm not sure what the import fees would be 😬.
I'm afraid you will have to make your own, try it and see. But dont blame me if you cant stop eating it. 🤤

When I was giving away rhubarb plants, many of the women would juice the rhubarb and freeze the juice as ice cubes to add to their glasses of water.

When I made wine from it, it was vile and disgusting until about a year later when it became a delightful wine.

Dandelion wine can be the same way, you really need to let it age before it taste proper. The ice cube thing, is a good idea. My mom used to do that with the lemons they got from their tree in south florida. She'd squeeze the juice and freeze it into ice cubes and keep them in a gallon plastic bag. She'd then take a glass, throw the cubes in, add water, a bit of sugar and presto, instant lemonade !

You are now getting me interested in trying rhubarb. Do you have a good recipe for rhubarb pie? I want to try making it.
