Any Home Bakers Here?

I got two short squatty ones, quart size, and a tall one, for about $13, I think, at Wal-Mart. I've got sugar in the tall one.

We do not have Fred Meyer in California anymore. I used to shop at one in Chico California when we lived up north. We moved in 1992 and Fred Meyer's closed sometime after that.

Yeah, our nearest Target store is two or three hours away too.

Target is about two miles from my house. Costco in in the same shopping center.

The first Target came to Vermont a few years ago. It is about 25 miles south of here.

At least we know they are there.

Our closest Target is about 5 minutes away. It's the Lord's way of controlling my impulses.

I assume you guys are talking about Meijers...? The original store opened in Greenville, MI, about 20 miles north of me.

The Meijer family has done a lot of philanthropic stuff in the Grand Rapids area. The Meijer Gardens and sculpture park is very nice. In 50 years, it'll be fantastic! The plants/trees only grow so fast...

No, Fred Meyer, it started in Portland Oregon in 1931. My Dad, stepmother (RIP) and college roommate (RIP) lived there.

Like Breceha said, it is a Pacific Northwest chain. It has everything! It was the original superstore here. Walmat and target have those now, but Fred Meyer even had some lumber at the store in Chico.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind have a Fred's here. Seemed a most useful store.
People in Oregon don't go to Fred Meyers any more than people go to Dick's Sporting Goods. First name basis!
