Any Home Bakers Here?

A loaf of Betsy bread is on the counter, cooling
Sally,,,, are you using the bread machine for Betsy.. I know it is a practical IDEA especially when it is hot.. I don't have a bread machine, so I limit my baking when it is cooler. Bread machine can easily be moved to garage, or outdoors if necessary.. I am not sure how much heat a bread machine produces, :idunno
I am hiding inside sewing a pair of parachute pants for myself.
PennyJo,,,,, just don't jump.:old

Wore them till I was 8 they are wider in the leg.
Grandma made them elastic waist pockets in the side for eggs or garden bounty.
Was years later someone termed the parachute name.
I've heard of pants shaped that way and made out of a light-weight nylon material called parachute pants. I thought it was due to the material, but it makes sense with the cut too.

I love loose fitting pants. Cargo pants? Yeah. Love them a lot. All those pockets....!

Yes, in a machine. I haven't made bread by hand in many years.

I don't like to run the oven in the summer. The bread machine does put out heat, but since it's heating such a small space, it's not nearly as much. I can tell when I have it near the indoor/outdoor thermometer near the kitchen. But using the toaster is worse.

WHAT?!? How did it get to be 87 degrees in here? Oh. I just toasted some bread. :lau

I only bake our own breads. I have a huge disdain for government regulations so I have been transitioning all our foods from processed store bought garbage. I also run a cottage bakery from my house for cakes and cupcakes 🥰

Welcome to the Bakers thread.

I used to love making sourdough discard English muffins, especially with whole wheat. They freeze perfectly and you can thaw them in the microwave. Once thawed they toast up really well in the toaster or on a griddle with an egg and a sausage patty for a breakfast sandwich. Really miss my starter!!! Discard bagels were so good too, with homemade everything bagel seasoning...

I just might!!! I let my old one go because I started a home bakery and couldn't keep up with the feedings anymore. There isn't as much flexibility in sourdough as there is with just cakes and cookies so I've been a little afraid of using it for the business, I'm already having a hard time keeping up as it is. But no one else does it at the market in my area right now!
