Ugh, gross!  Maybe they were trying to "prove" they were fresh laid

Maybe! I've seen their coop, they have no nesting boxes so they lay wherever they want

I kept debating whether or not to post the cake picture, but what the heck, here it is: I alternated the 5 layers with chocolate and coconut buttercream frosting. It should at least taste good!

What's wrong with that? I think it looks delicious! Good job!

Ok, I'm glad I put the cake picture up...you guys are making me feel better about it.

X400 - I felt so sorry for you with a lot of work and a boo-boo, But IMO that is a great looking Valentine Cake
