Any Home Bakers Here?

I needed applesauce for two recipes I plan on using today. I had some bruised apples, so I got to work. The guinea pigs did too. I finished making the sauce (I love my immersion blender!), and my housemate decided not only to eat it all, but to put cereal in it! :eek: :th
We then made another, bigger, batch of applesauce. Somehow I cannot remember ever making applesauce before. I am either senile, or I have missed out on a lot of basic kitchen activities.

You probably never made apple butter.

You can make other fruit sauces too! I will use up old fruit, like pears and peaches. You can combine them to make mixed fruit sauce.

Play around with the spices too-- cinnamon, mace, cloves, allspice and etc. Even sweeten with brown sugar, honey, molasses and etc.
