Yesterday I baked a rhubarb pie for Father’s Day. I ended up dragging my old Betty Crocker cookbook out and I realized there are recipes in there for pie crusts in 3 sizes. 8 inch, 9 inch and 10 inch!
Using the internet and clipping recipes out of magazines I found that most recipes say they make a 9 inch pie. Most pie plates I see in stores are 10”! Betty Crocker also had recipes for a plain rhubarb pie, also in all three sizes! So Betty now has a better place on the bookshelf!

I based my rhubarb pie recipe on the Betty Crocker rhubarb pie. I have 9" pie pans. I really like the Pyrex ones.

This is what I baked for Fathers' Day fiesta.
Baking powder raised dough. I have posted recipe for dough previously. Same as what I use for my cheese cake. (Coffee cake style. )
Apricots, apples, and cherries are from cans/jars. Blueberries are fresh.

Good afternoon, everyone.

Not much baking plans today. It’s pretty windy and we have a frost advisory tonight.

We had a small earthquake a little while ago. I posted about it on another thread. Chickens were spooked.

I also got the 3d printer going, I am printing parts to build a trombone.
