I can't. I can feel rigor mortis setting in when I am about halfway through plucking a turkey.

Yesterday I went out to see the chickens and I could not find 5 of them.

I bought a shed to make into a chicken coop and they liked to get under it.

This morning I went out to see the chickens and I am missing another chicken, that makes 6.

I have one RIR left and she is pitiful and staying hidden.

I have a feeling this is a hawk.

I made a loaf of GF bread to use for the bread in the Thanksgiving stuffing. I'm working on some modifications to my recipe, tweaking it a bit by bit.

Since this is for stuffing, it doesn't have to be perfect, so I threw caution to the wind.

I sawed off the heels to use as a burger bun for dinner. YUM!!

I am very much looking forward to seeing if my KitchenAid mixer will whip eggs whites stiff for meringue. That will be a first: actually getting stiff egg whites, not just "almost."

They will be perfect!

Well I guess I will have to change my Thanksgiving menu as my oven quit working this weekend.
