On another note my Lavender Orpingtons are hatching!

Nope, they have a machine that they slide the trays of eggs into that makes a small hole and injects the vaccine into each egg. It does one full tray at once and then does the next tray.

Nope he's not, each chick gets a tiny shot.
Thanks, I didn't realize they did it in the egg! I thought they vaccinated the chicks as day-olds.

It can be done either way. Commercial hatcheries have a machine to do them. Takes much less effort for them to do them in the shell. No need to hold squirming chicks.
