Any Home Bakers Here?

You all know I’m not a drinker, but I found this for a dollar at a thrift store and I thought it was interesting. According to research, it’s a stein. Made in 1981 according to the date on the bottom and on the lid.

Maybe I’ll fill it with root beer once I’m done washing it….

Jared,,, I also do not drink adult beverages,,, But would have picked that stein in a flash. Ideal to fill with coffee, or whatever else,, and take with you outdoors. This way, during summertime, no flies try to compete with your drink.

What a nice find, Jared! Root beer, ginger ale, herb teas, even milk would taste "better" in a stein like that!

I actually had an idea for a party at my house involving root beer with homemade cheese and pretzels. I call it “Mocktoberfest.” No alcohol at all.

I would have to make a lot of homemade cheese, which would take a while to age. As a result, I probably have to plan 9 months in advance.

I wonder if I can pull it off…..

I had to look it up. Isn’t that just a root beer float? What’s the difference?

No difference, just another name for the same thing.

We never called a root beer float a Black Cow but I do remember Black Cow candy that was a combination of chocolate and caramel.

Another name for them when I was a kid was Jersey Cow. Scoops of vanilla ice cream in the glass, pour the root beer over, and get the patches of white with the brown flowing around them.
