might add a few tablespoons of flour if it was fresh fruit
Thank you, It called for 1/2 cup flour but I substituted cornstarch as I like that better in pies but I don't think it was enough. I read somewhere if you substitute cornstarch for flour use half the amount but thinking that wasn't accurate. It was fresh fruit. Still yummy though:drool

always a next time live and learn there are a few times I still use flour
biscuits and gravy the gravy is flour or pie fillings

I like tapioca flour in pies. It uses a smaller amount like corn starch but binds better in fruit pies.

I have been playing with clear gel too.

Now I need to bake a pie! Maybe this weekend

I grew up picking wild blueberries every summer. My parents would tie coffee cans to our waists and send us in. Since the plants are only about 18" tall at the most, it was probably a lot easier to let us kids pick than have my 6' tall father trying to pick them. The forests have all grown and the blueberry patches are gone now. Need to find new ones. The commercial bush berries are not quite the same as those tiny, itty bitty, little, flavor bomb berries. We joke that my hubby married me for my homemeade blueberry pie, lol! Things that I introduced him to: blackberry pie, homemade blueberry pie (his mom made pie from the store bought, canned junk), german potato salad and brandy slush.
