Yeah that's the other problem....I don't.
I need to....There was a triple murder/suicide in Marquette Thanksgiving morning...that kind of thing of unheard of here.....very rare.
They were all young people...I recognize names but no one I knew.

I am starting a batch of sourdough bread--Half will be cooked in my porcelain dutch oven.

Just had a badly upset stomach...for about three days....feels close to normal now.....pain is just an issue I deal with daily....

It was just a bout with diverticulitis, kind of comes and goes. I think it's gone now

That leaves some very hurt families behind.

That's why I cannot eat nuts, popcorn or seeds

. I really miss Cracker Jacks and caramel popcorns!

One serious episode after too many roasted peanuts followed by popcorn was no fun. But avoiding the culprits, have never had another problem.

**stay on low residue diet until ALL symptoms pass.

That leaves some very hurt families behind.


That is sad. One reason why I don't like reading the news, I'd much rather hang out here.

I do scan local reports in our local newspaper to help avoid the crime areas But never watch cable news stations - too stressful - DH does keep me informed on the major happenings worldwide.

Well I'm a big news hound....but I generally only pay attention to national news....I'm friend with a couple of the people on the local news. The anchors wife is the one that owns the Thai restaurant I got food from the other day. But something like that really doesn't happen here often....unlike the news I left in Detroit....another reason I like living here.

I wondered if you were in the same boat with the diet restrictions you mentioned. Guess birds of a feather really do flock together, right? From what I've read, most people will come up with it as they age. Another little goodie for getting older, lol. I wonder about the tendency to pass it on...my Dad had it, his mother had it and my brother has it.

As for the news, I look at the headlines as I log on. Sometimes something will catch my eye but I don't like to dwell on stuff I can't do anything about. I think sometimes the media likes to stir the pot and get people riled up. And sometimes things are as bad as they say. Either way, I don't think we get "news" any more so much as we get "opinions".
