A few tablespoons of Oat flour in the mix makes for yummy chewy ones too. I just put some rolled oats in my food processor but if one were to have a fancy milling machine.........

Thought I'd share. This is my favourite chocolate chip recipe. I just place chocolate chips instead of smarties at the end.

Thank you I will try both of those suggestions.

DH waited 20 years to tell me he *preferred* just ccc without the peanut butter.

So I guess that means I have 15 more years to figure it out!

The CCC my mother used to make had nuts in them along with the chips. After several years being married to a man that insists nuts do not belong in a CCC, I'm still trying to adjust.

Best Ever Chocolate Chip Cookies 2 1/4 Cup AP flour 1/2 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp salt 3/4 Cup unsalted butter, melted 1 Cup packed brown sugar 1/2 Cup white sugar 1 Tab. vanilla extract 1 egg 1 egg yolk 2 Cups semi-sweet chocolate chips * Pre-heat oven to 325*. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper. * Sift together the flour, baking soda & salt. Set aside. * In a medium bowl, cream together the melted butter, brown sugar and white sugar until well blended. Beat in the vanilla, egg & egg yolk until light & creamy. Mix in the sifted ingredients until just blended. Mix in the ear turn ear chocolate chips by hand. * Drop cookie dough 1/4 cup at a time onto prepared cookie sheets. Cookies should be about 3" apart. * Bake for 15-17 minutes or until edges are lightly toasted. Cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely. Now that's a COOKIE!
That looks so good!! Mine never turn out like that...can't wait to try this recipe. Do you have to use unsalted butter or can you cut back on the salt and use regular butter instead?

OOOOPPS! We had an accident today :/ Poor needle had a really yucky bum. ( time for some FF). She came inside for a bath. we cleaned up the craft table and put down a towel and hair dryer. Every thing was in place. Only it appears CrazyLady for got to move some drying art work far enough away from the Blow drying area. Needle jumped and flapped her wings and before I knew It I thought she was hurt bleeding even. Panicking I lifted to look at her opposite side. :ep She is pretty in color..and without color too

After that they decided to rest. Unfortunately she really likes the coat of many colors. :idunno
