Any Home Bakers Here?

lol i wish i could do that with my fiance. nothing last till night time.

i decided to make funnel cake and the recipe says to creamthe eggs, sugar, milk and vanilla what do they mean by cream? is it just mixing them well together or does it mean they need to look a certain way.

When you beat butter and sugar, after a bit it will start to go lighter in colour or "cream" coloured. So creaming it just means beating till that happens. Normally you would beat the butter sugar and vanilla till creamy colour then add the eggs one at a time and beat till combined.

I can only imagine that they want the liquid ingredients also beat till light and airy which would make it start to go a lighter colour. But I've never heard it called creaming unless it related to butter before.

I love it!

I just ordered some vital wheat gluten to add to my whole wheat bread recipes. The description had this in it:
Quote: That made me laugh!

Please note that every purchase of our Vital Wheat Gluten helps to support Gluten's long standing battle against the villainous Gluten-Free empire. When ordered and shipped with our Gluten-Free items, customers have described the Gluten-Free items arriving with black eyes, bruises, and occasionally broken

That glutten free nonsense drives me nuts. I worked with a woman who has a genuine glutten allergy, it about killed her before the doctors finnally figured it out (she was down to like 88 pounds) But now everyone latched on to it as if it is similar to fat free :rant And no one even seems to understand what glutten is. I have a Salsa jar that advertises that it is glutten free :/
Sorry

Sorry, have to have a LOL moment...

Glutten = Overeats
Gluten = In wheat

I need to be glutten free really bad...gluten free, NEVER!

How can salsa be gluten free when there no gluton in salsa? Wow i have a friend whose daughter has a mild gluton allergie (migraines not exactly mild but not life threatening). I seen mostly flour products gluton free which i am not sure how that works.

If they do not make the flour with wheat, it can be glutten free. She brought some cookies that were made using glutten free flour. They tasted just fine, but the texture was off.

Salsa is naturally and always gluten free. It's a marketing ploy to sell things. Kind of like the fat free fad...everything became "fat free" (like licorice, always has been) when fat free was the buzz word.

Gluten is not our enemy...imo...processed food and hybrid food is. Real food doesn't hurt. Bring on the home made bread with no chemicals!!
