apple sauce has been used as a replacement for oil(shortening) in baked goods. New research is showing that oil and fats are not only necessary but good for us. It is especially good for growing children.Rubbery is the best way i can discribe it. I made them for lucy 2nd birthday non or the kids liked them lucy loves fruit but yeah i tried it and callig it a cookie just ruins it. It tastes great but when it comes to texture it lacks what i like from a cookie.
