I really do have fun with that old cookbook will admit there are one or two kinda do the, it talks in the dinners section giving recipe for coon and squirrel dinners

Sounds like the kind of cooking my grandmother did. I didn't know until I was an adult (and grandma long gone) that she used to use squirrel for her mincemeat pies. No wonder I couldn't ever make mine taste like hers

My Aunt and Grandmas 7th child would send he oldest son sometimes I could sneak into the car.. they had a spotlite on the darn thing shoot them out of the trees

Made some savory cornbread in the cast iron skillet to add to my dressing/stuffing. I'm always experimenting!

Pumpkin pie done. Cornbread done. Still need to make the apple dessert and cranberry sauce. Will do the yeast rolls tomorrow and other side dishes, and the TURKEY, of course. So far, so good.
