Your gingerbread and shortbread cookies look great. I absolutely love shortbread - delicious! You are putting me to shame - I haven't baked any cookies yet, but the menfolk here are getting antsy for some, so will start soon.

I have a dishwasher in the kitchen that almost never gets used. About the only time I use it is when I have lots of jars to get ready for canning.

Me too! It works great though and I don’t rinse my dishes first.

I have the cream cheese cookie to bake tomorrow it is in the fridge cooling overnight, tomorrow is chocolate chip, sugar cookies, and one more haven't decided votes?

Some of our favorites are spritz, eggnog thumbprints, pecan pie bars, raspberry jam cookies, orange cream brownies. There's definitely more than that, but can't remember them all right now. I want to get started baking, but scared there wont be any left by Christmas if I make them now.

Okay, Penny, you have inspired me. I'm heading to the kitchen in a few minutes to start some cookies. Think I'll make sugar cookies first, my mom's old recipe. I want to make extra and send some to one of my brothers who is not married, and has no one to make Christmas cookies for him. I think having cookies with mom's old recipe would send him back in time and would be greatly appreciated. Mom always frosted them with almond flavored frosting. I know that's probably not traditional, but we grew up eating them that way, and loved them. So good!
