Any Home Bakers Here?

Our house is pre-1939, and I believe we still have the original cabinets. Can't wait to gut it out and remodel the whole kitchen area. We have 3 old stoves spread throughout the property also - the one is in the basement - my husband plugged it in and the burners still work !?!
I'll have to get pictures - I am sure one of them is original to the place. None of the previous owners believed in tossing ANYTHING!! (We have a stall in the calf shed full of old, rotten roof trusses from when they redid the roof on the house. sigh)

We are rehabing a 1947 home, the kitchen is coming back together and in the meantime we have built a temporary kitchen in what's going to be a Service Pantry. I had an oven plugged in in the old kitchen, but ripping everything out deemed it "in the way", so now it's on the porch of my Little Shop. I'm hoping to be able to cook a Thanksgiving Dinner this year!

My Grand parents house was like that. The bathrooms were huge too

This Thread is amazing, just another reason to love this forum! I have a lot of catching up to do. My kitchen is in the rehab stage and haven't had a connected oven for a few months now. I cannot wait to dig into some of these recipes! Great Job on indexing, love it!

allot of us are in old homes this place was built by first military man repatriated after being sent home 1930 he built it for his wife over the years they added 2152 square feet
the master bedroom was the original kitchen it seems

We built our home with "high ceilings". We are currently replacing one beam...water got in...new one in place Monday.
We are working on it. See if I can find a photo.

The foundation of the original house still there under the house, The back door was the original door allot it we are still in the dark on. Huge bathroom in the hallway

Almost done with my baking ventures for the day. Added 2 batches of brownies to the pile and cinnamon rolls are in the oven now. Total for the day:

19 blueberry muffins
60 chocolate chip cookies
25 very large brownies
21 cinnamon rolls

I pick up my daughter from the bus stop soon then we have to rush off to help with dinner for the school band before the game. It's homecoming night too so we'll have over 80 alumni there too . I think I'll be ready to drop by the time we finally get home tonight :/
