I thawed out some pastry to make fruit pies and forgot to get the filling so decided to make potato and veg instead .mixed some of the filling with curry sauce and the otherwith gravy .they both turned out well, enough for a few meals I,ll get the fruit filling tomorrow and try again.

Afternoon all we still have our snow about 6 inches, they say two more systems before it is done.
We have no need to go out think I will do a beef pot pie tonight.

It has been snowing all day here, but we only have about an 1 1/2 of new stuff. We are supposed to get another system coming through on Tuesday - for another 4-6" and then one more later in the week for an additional 4-6". Hard to say what we will end up with as the forecast is changing daily.

I did make the chocolate chip cookies for DH last night. He likes Nestle Tollhouse cookie with walnuts.

As I was eating one of MY cookies this morning, I remembered that those are really good with diced dried tart cherries, mini chocolate chips and white chocolate chips mixed in. Makes them feel "fancy" too. I need to add that note to my recipe card.

Hubby and I are trying hard to go vegan to try to be healthier. I have a hard time parting with my meat and dairy so we're doing some experimentation. Today, we made vegan cream of mushroom soup (which turned out unbelievably delicious!). We're going to use it for green bean casserole.

DS has been bugging to try to bake a cake so he found a vegan red velvet cake recipe and he's going to attempt it. He's never baked before lol. There was be an update on that one later!

Dinner will be vegan chicken (tofu) broccoli Alfredo. Alfredo is one of my favorite foods in the world so

I put together a batch of coffee ice cream. It has to sit in the fridge for an hour and then I will put it into the ice cream maker. I am going to add in heath candies
