Nice save on the pies!I thawed out some pastry to make fruit pies and forgot to get the filling so decided to make potato and veg instead .mixed some of the filling with curry sauce and the otherwith gravy .they both turned out well, enough for a few meals I,ll get the fruit filling tomorrow and try again.
I put together a batch of coffee ice cream. It has to sit in the fridge for an hour and then I will put it into the ice cream maker. I am going to add in heath candiesIt has been snowing all day here, but we only have about an 1 1/2 of new stuff. We are supposed to get another system coming through on Tuesday - for another 4-6" and then one more later in the week for an additional 4-6". Hard to say what we will end up with as the forecast is changing daily.
I did make the chocolate chip cookies for DH last night. He likes Nestle Tollhouse cookie with walnuts.
As I was eating one of MY cookies this morning, I remembered that those are really good with diced dried tart cherries, mini chocolate chips and white chocolate chips mixed in. Makes them feel "fancy" too. I need to add that note to my recipe card.
It is one of my favorites! Heath maked a very good add in for ice cream tooYum to heath candies
